JAZZ RETROSPECTIVE
The Yavapai College Instrumental Music department is proud to present the Roughrider and Trailblazer Big Bands as they journey across the history of jazz, including music from then and now. Fantastic composers from the swing era and beyond, including Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Buddy Rich will be highlighted. Newer voices in the development of jazz are also featured, including Bob Mintzer and Gordon Goodwin. With music from across the history of jazz, there is definitely something for everyone on this program!
