Our two-day Plein air watercolor and oil painting workshop in beautiful Prescott, Arizona, will focus on the “how-tos” of setting up and enjoying painting the light outdoors. Through teacher demonstration, students will learn the various techniques involved in “chasing the light” while creating great compositions. Also demonstrated: how to create a value sketch and then apply it to develop a painting. On day one of this workshop students will meet at the Mountain Artists Guild at 8:30 am to follow Betty to the first Plein air location. On day two, students will meet Carr at 9:00 am, on-site at a to-be-determined location. On both days painting will wrap up at 4:00 pm. Students will leave our two-day painting event with memorable experiences, which will lead to many more exciting Plein air painting adventures in the future. Come and enjoy! Register online at mountainartistsguild.org/adult-education or via phone at 928-445-2510 during Gallery hours, Saturday to Sunday, 10am - 3pm.
