The Prescott Farmers Market (PFM) will welcome customers to its third pop-up market of the summer season at the Vista Point Community Center in Granville on Monday, May 21 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Customers can stop by the community center to visit vendors offering locally-grown vegetables, baked goods, eggs, meats, and more. A full vendor list will be posted before the market opens. “A farmers market is a unique place. It's so much more than your regular grocery store. It's a gathering place for delicious food grown, harvested, and cooked by our neighbors. When you buy foods at the market, you can trust that you’re buying it from the person who grew or made it. It’s great to know that my food comes from the same amazing place I like to call home,” said PFM Market Manager JB Del Campo. Since 1997, PFM has operated markets of various sizes in several locations in the greater Prescott area. PFM operates a larger weekly market on Saturdays in Prescott at Yavapai College. The market is open every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until noon. PFM is a great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch with a wide variety of tamales, tacos, quiche, breakfast muffins, samosas, grass-fed burgers and baked goods, as well as fresh brewed coffee. Customers can swipe their SNAP/EBT, debit or credit cards to receive tokens at the information booth. The Double Up Food Bucks Arizona program allows customers to double their SNAP benefits at the market, up to $20 per market visit. All vendors always accept cash. PFM is a producer-only farmers market, meaning every item sold is either grown or produced by the seller using Arizona-grown ingredients. Their annual Farm to Table Dinner will take place this year at the Holiday Courtyard on Sunday, August 19, with a pop-up market on Montezuma St. As a vital part of the economy, the mission of Prescott Farmers Market is to support and expand local agriculture, cultivate a healthy community and increase access to affordable local food.
