Prescott Valley Public Library invites young scientists and engineers to join us for a spooky and sweet adventure this October! Explore science, engineering, and problem-solving in a fun and meaningful way! Step into the shoes of scientists and engineers this October with two hands-on challenges full of spooky fun and sweet rewards! First, bring “ghosts” to life with the power of static electricity as you explore how invisible electric charges can make paper spirits rise, float, and dance in the air. Then, take on an engineering design challenge by creating your very own candy dispenser. Using everyday materials, participants will design, test, and improve their creations while learning about simple machines, gravity, and the engineering process. This STEAM Lab is designed for youth ages 5-12 and encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking—perfect for a month of tricks, treats, and science!
