The most common legal claims that employers face are pay-related claims, so it’s important to understand the ins and outs of paying people properly. Laura Hamblin, a Prescott lawyer, will cover the often-misunderstood issues of exempt/nonexempt, independent contractors, overtime calculations when employees are paid multiple pay rates or piece rates, travel time, payment at termination, and more.
