Join the entire Yavapai College Music Department for an exciting return to in-person performing! This outdoor, COVID-friendly event is a great way to hear the Choral, Instrumental, and Jazz ensembles as they pay tribute to the music of Spring with works focused on nature, birds, dancing, and love! Bring the whole family, your lawn chairs, and a snack and join us for one or all of the three concert times. A Mother’s Day Treat! MOTHER’S DAY, MAY 9, 2021 PRESCOTT VALLEY THEATER ON THE GREEN, 7501 E CIVIC DR, PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ 86314 2:00 pm JAZZ: The Trailblazer and Roughrider jazz bands present swinging tunes that will make you tap your toes and stomp your feet. Music from jazz greats like Count Basie, Cole Porter, and more! 4:00 pm CHORAL: The YC Chamber Singers, Master Chorale, and Community Chorale presents highlights including Brahms’s Liebeslieder Walzer, op. 52, as well as works by PinkZebra, Elgar, the Beatles, and Florence Price. 6:00 pm INSTRUMENTAL: The YC Concert Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Symphonic Band present music for a brilliant evening outdoors, including Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet, as well as works by Brahms, Grieg, and even the Muppets!
