WANDER the WILD by Highlands Center for Natural History The 9th Annual Wander the Wild live Auction and Dinner is Sunday, September 24, 2017, 2:30-6;30 pm at Prescott’s Capital Canyon Club in Hassayampa Village, 2060 Golf Club Lane, Prescott, AZ 86303. The $100 ticket includes a social hour with wine and outstanding appetizers, a delicious gourmet dinner meal with local wines, and an exciting live auction of exotic outdoor adventures, experience packages, local art and more from surrounding Arizona with regional, national and international destinations. Wander the Wild raises funds for children’s educational programs at the Highlands Center for Natural History in Prescott, AZ. This event enables more than 5,000 pre-school and elementary school children per year from northern Arizona communities to visit and spend a day in nature through onsite school field trips and other educational programs. As education funds have been cut in many school districts for field-based learning, the funds generated by Wander the Wild ensure children have the opportunity to visit the Prescott National Forest to discover and connect with the natural world through science-based curriculum that meets Arizona state educational standards. Tickets are $100 per person or table of 8 for $720.00 (10% discount) by calling the Highlands Center at 928-776-9550.
