    About Us

People Who Care is a non-profit in business since 1992. We are a volunteer-driven organization that provides assistance in the form of essential transportation for grocery shopping and appointments, as well as personal paperwork, safety programs and minor home repair, reassuring phone calls, 911 Angel Alerts, friendly visits, non-medical caregiver relief, a medical equipment loan closet, and technology assistance to people in the tri-city area who cannot drive due to physical disability, vision issues, or age-related issues. All our assistance to our enrolled clients (whom we refer to as Neighbors) is done free of charge. Enrolled volunteers can contribute whatever time or mileage they wish, and they can also go onto the interactive page on our website to choose a Neighbor to help or call our office to be assigned to an appointment. We depend on donations, grants, public support, and sponsors for the funds to maintain our programs.
