DESCRIPTION:Archeology of the Soul by Nancy Turner\, Ginger Owen-Murakami\, and Vicki VanAmeyden Turner's work mediates between past\, present and future and is informed by the power of a fragment to suggest an entire story: the mysterious way objects retain remembrance and our collective somewhat fictional relationship to our shared cultural history. Roots\, Heartwood\, and Grove\, are sculptural and experiential installations by Owen-Murakami and VanAmeyden. By exploring collective memories with vernacular photography\, the work of these collaborative artists emphasizes cultural commonalities that bind people\, and serve as an expression of humanism.
