Gretchen was an award-winning plein air artist and an inspiring instructor who generously shared her time and talents through popular workshops at the Phippen. Her work was equally inspired by her Spanish and Native American heritage\, combining traditional and contemporary styles. This special exhibition honors her artistic contributions and lasting impact on our community. A selection of her original works will be available for purchase\, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the Phippen Museum's education programs\, continuing Gretchen's passion for nurturing creativity in others. Please join us for an opening reception on Saturday\, September 6\, 2025 as we remember and celebrate Gretchen's remarkable spirit and artistic journey   featuring the jazz stylings of Ron and Karen Sampson\, close friends of Gretchen and her family.
