DESCRIPTION:Wander the Wild ~ it's for the kids! Our 12th Annual Wander the Wild\, the Highlands Center's signature event which directly funds our children's education programs which touch 10\,000 children annually\, will be held September 27\, 2020\, at a beautiful and welcoming venue\, the Windmill House in Chino Valley. The event is a four hour celebration which starts at 2:30 pm with a social hour on a tree-lined outdoor patio with live music\, passed appetizers\, wine and beer. This is the time when attendees meander through artistic and informative displays of the 45 auction packages\, making notes and bidding strategies on their programs. A variety of raffle items demand attention also. At 3:40 pm attendees move indoors to the adjacent banquet hall for welcoming comments from Dave Irvine\, HCNH Executive Director\, and Master of Ceremonies Marnie Uhl\, Prescott Valley Chamber President. Then\, at 4:00 master auctioneer Jacy Lee takes the floor and a lively live auction commences and commands your attention and generous enthusiasm for the next 75 minutes! The live auction features outdoor-related travel and adventure packages\, educational field trips and nature inspired works of art by local artists. With local\, regional\, national and international destinations\, the auction offers something for everyone. : stroll Central American Pacific beaches\, hike with local bird experts and naturalists\, enjoy a Tastes of the Southwest dinner\, revel in a week in a Tuscan Villa or at a South African photo safari\, relax in rustic local ranches and vineyards\, and so much more! Following the excitement of the live auction\, a buffet dinner and local wine is offered at 5:30 pm with meat\, fish and vegetarian fare to satisfy all. The drawing for raffle items occurs while attendees enjoy dessert and coffee.
