SUMMARY:Watercolor and Mixed Media Portraiture' with Lupe Galvan
DESCRIPTION:Explore the possibilities of portraiture though watercolor and mixed media. This workshop will focus on a classical approach to drawing as a foundation for portrait painting\, followed by ideas of color relationships\, washes\, dry brush and mixed media techniques to bring your portrait to realization. Students will work from photographs and a live model. Lupe Galvan is an artist born and raised in Idaho\, currently living in Prescott\, AZ. He holds a BFA (Illustration) Boise State University 2006 and an MFA The New York Academy of Art 2009. He paints portraits\, figures\, landscapes and does commissions. He currently teaches Painting and Drawing at Yavapai College in Prescott\, AZ. Some of his work includes mixing motifs from his Native heritage as well as contemporary ideas.
